Are we lost today-- looking for direction?

Do we have a decision to make, but aren't sure how to make it?

Have two roads diverged in a wood...and we haven't the faintest idea which to travel?

Where do we go...  And who do we ask when we need someone to shed light on one of our life-subjects?

Family?  Friends?  Counselors?  Horoscopes?  The flip of a coin?  A.I.?

How about the Bible?

Can we consider God's word in our ear to tell us which way to turn today?

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”  ~Isaiah 30:21

The unfolding of your words gives light...  -Psalm 119:130

I love this wording: The unfolding of your words gives light.

The unfolding part is true (and descriptive): we cannot just skim the Bible and expect effect.  We must unfold God's words.  Read them.  Open them up.  Open ourselves up to them.  We must chew on God's Word like a cow chews cud.  Over and over.  Ruminate on it.  Soak it in and soak it up.  We must meditate on the Bible and God's words to us in it.

The unfolding of your words gives light...  -Psalm 119:130

And watch what happens.  Experience what happens when we unfold God's words.  The lights come on.

The unfolding of your words gives light...  -Psalm 119:130

As we unfold the Bible and read it with purpose, God turns on the lights in our dark places.  He gives us direction for today.

For today.

(In my experience), there's not usually a Scriptural-spotlight illuminating our journey and what the outcome will be.   The unfolding of your words gives light... (Psalm 119:130), and that light is usually just enough light for the next step.

And then...we keep reading and praying and unfolding God's words for the next step.

God's word gives us light.

Unfold God's words today.  Open the Bible today.  Not a Bible app, or video of a pastor preaching, or a recording or reading of someone else's Bible experience.

You + God's words = light.
Me + God's words = light.

Let's get a real Bible and hold it in our hands.  Let's unfold God's words into our lives.  He will give light to us through it.
