The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. (6) He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. ~Matthew 28:5-6

Explain the miracle of Easter to someone today! Look someone in the eye, be authentic and connect with someone's heart to open their eyes to the Truth that God loves them, and His Son Jesus died...and was RESURRECTED(!)--for them.
The world is searching...running back and forth, and turning over so many stones to find hope, fulfillment, and worth that only Jesus can provide.
And provide it He has. Today.
We have proof. Or actually--we don't have proof, which IS THE PROOF. There was no body in the tomb this morning, Easter Morning, Resurrection Sunday. The women that followed Jesus couldn't find it:
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. (2) So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” ~John 20:1-2
The disciples couldn't find it.
(3) So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. (4) Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. (5) He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. (6) Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb.
He saw the strips of linen lying there, (7) as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.(8) Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (9) (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) ~John 20:3-9
The soldiers on duty couldn't find it.
While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. (12) When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, (13) telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’
(14) If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” (15) So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. ~Matthew 28:11-14
And over the thousands of years since, historians have never found it.
No proof (of Jesus' body) is the Believer's proof today. That tomb was empty.
Many still do not understand what it all means--the empty tomb, the Bible, the love of God, the sacrifice of Christ, the authority of God.
They look but they do not see. They weep in hopelessness, like Mary.
“They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” ~~John 20:2
They run to search for meaning in life, like Peter and John but they still do not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead (John 20:9).
They bend over, they look, they even see evidence of God (His Works, His Creation, His Miracles), but they still do not understand the miracle and the FREEDOM that Easter brings.
But God might just use us to explain the miracle of Easter to someone today.
Share the hope and the proof that there was no proof in the tomb on the third day after Jesus was crucified.
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. ~Matthew 28:6

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
(15) He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
(16) Jesus said to her, “Mary.”
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).
(17) Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
(18) Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. John 20:1-18
