At work, we provide Trainings for customers, so that they can be updated and educated on all of the latest features (and how to use them) within our product.  Many companies do this--sharing "Best Practices" are a way to ensure positive outcomes on the customer and vendor sides of things.

My kids often offer me "life hacks" that they have learned from watching an online video promising to "save time" and "make your life easier".  And just this week, my husband enlightened me about the "tear-away" feature built into most plastic rings holding cans/bottles of pop or Gatorade together.  When separated, the plastic rips open easily, releasing the bottle--saving wildlife that might be caught if it is discarded as trash, and saving me frustration or angst because I no longer have to pull with all my might to get a bottle out of the plastic rings.  (Who knew?)  Life hacks do save time and make your life easier!

Who couldn't benefit from some helpful advice, "best practices", "life hacks", "tips" or one-to-grow-on's?  We all could.  But did we know that God built just such a section into His books of the Bible?

If you are looking for sound advice and time-tested wisdom--Proverbs is your thirty-one chapter survival guide.  I know people who read one a day each month.  God's Proverbs never lose their touch or grow stale: Proverbs speaks truth and Godliness into our days.

We could choose to read any one, but the Proverb (21) that God laid open on the pages of my Bible today "happened" to have not one but two references about a nagging or arguing wife.  (I guess God knows me well-enough to give me a few "life hacks" of His own to ensure positive outcomes.)

May we all be blessed by God's truth and by the fact that He loves us enough to teach us His "Best Practices" and "Life Hacks" through His Word.

Proverbs 21:(2) Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord knows the hearts.

(3) To do what is right and good and fair is more pleasing to the Lord than gifts given on the altar in worship.

(4) Eyes lifted high and a proud heart is sin and is the lamp of the sinful.

(5) Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

(6) Getting riches by a lying tongue is like a passing cloud, and leads to death.

(7) The way the sinful hurt others will draw them away, because they will not do what is right and fair.

(8) The way of a guilty man is sinful, but the actions of the pure man are right.

(9) It is better to live in a corner of a roof than in a house shared with an arguing woman...

(13) He who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered.

(14) A gift in secret quiets anger. A gift from the heart quiets strong anger.

(15) When what is right and fair is done, it is a joy for those who are right with God. But it fills the sinful with fear.

(16) A man who goes away from the way of understanding will rest in the gathering of the dead.

(17) He who loves only fun will become a poor man. He who loves wine and oil will not become rich...

(19) It is better to live in a desert land than with a woman who argues and causes trouble.

(20) There are riches and oil of great worth in the house of the wise, but a foolish man swallows them up.

(21) He who follows what is right and loving and kind finds life, right-standing with God and honor...

(23) He who watches over his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.

(24) “Proud,” “Self-important” and “One who laughs at the truth” are the names of the man who acts without respect and is proud.

(25) The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands will not work.  (26) He is filled with desire all day long, but the man who is right with God gives all he can...

(30) There is no wisdom and no understanding and no words that can stand against the Lord.

(31) The horse is made ready for war, but winning the fight belongs to the Lord.  ~Proverbs 21:2-9, 13-17, 19-25, 30-31

We're not exactly God's "customers", but He did give us the Bible as a Training Manual to keep us updated and educated on His wisdom and ways (and how to use them) within our hearts and lives.  God knows that His Word will ensure the life-training/"Best Practices"/and "life hacks" that will produce our most positive and beneficial outcomes.

Who couldn't benefit from God's wisdom?  We all could, and the Book of Proverbs provides it.

May we all be blessed by God's truth and by the fact that He loves us enough to teach us His "Best Practices" and "Life Hacks" through His Word.

He who follows what is right and loving and kind finds life, right-standing with God and honor.  ~Proverbs 21:21
