The Bible speaks of our hope for today, because of our hope for one day in the future, when we will be saved and redeemed and justified by Jesus for all of the wrong done against Him...and against us as His children/His Believers/His followers.  But we also must be prepared for that day.

Have we turned from our sins, and are we intervening on behalf of Jesus today?

And brace yourself: this (coming-Christ) is notvision of the cross, where Jesus was a dutiful (sacrificial) lamb.

This is a vision of when Christ comes back to judge those who have stood against Him and against those that He stands for.

And He will not be a lamb next time...but a lion...and He will triumph.  The Book of Revelation proclaims this (Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed...”  ~Revelation 5:5).

But the prophet Isaiah also announced it about 700 years before the Lamb of God came to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29).

And brace yourself:

~~~
The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice.
(16) He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.  So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and his justice sustained him.
(17) He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head.  He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion.
(18) He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds.  His fury will fall on his foes.  He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.
(19) In the west, people will respect the name of the Lordin the east, they will glorify him.  For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord
(20) “The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the Lord.
(21) “And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the Lord, have spoken!  ~Isaiah 59:15-21
Are we a part-of or ambivalent-to these things today?
The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice.  (16) He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.  ~Isaiah 59:15-16
Justice...are we not intervening for it when we should?   ...When we can?
Are we helping the oppressed?
Step in today for justice and to intervene for those that we can.  Help those oppressed in mind, body and spirit.  God is watching us.
The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice.  ~Isaiah 59:15
Would God be amazed in a good or bad way with us today?
He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.  ~Isaiah 59:16
We are called by the Lord to intervene today.  To do what we can today (for justice, to help the oppressed, and to save/sustain those we can.)
Sin is rampant today.  But sin was rampant yesterday, in Isaiah's day.  Read and see how much (sin) we share in common with the Israelites:
No one cares about being fair and honest.  The people’s lawsuits are based on lies.  They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin.  (5) They hatch deadly snakes and weave spiders’ webs...
(6) Their webs can’t be made into clothing, and nothing they do is productive.  All their activity is filled with sin, and violence is their trademark.
(7) Their feet run to do evil, and they rush to commit murder.  They think only about sinning.    Misery and destruction always follow them.
(8) They don’t know where to find peace or what it means to be just and good.  They have mapped out crooked roads, and no one who follows them knows a moment’s peace.
(9) So there is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living.  We look for light but find only darkness.  We look for bright skies but walk in gloom.
(10) We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes.  Even at brightest noontime, we stumble as though it were dark.
Among the living, we are like the dead.  (11) ...We look for justice, but it never comes.  We look for rescue, but it is far away from us.
(12) For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us.  Yes, we know what sinners we are.  (13) We know we have rebelled and have denied the Lord.  We have turned our backs on our God...
(14) Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found.  Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.
(15) Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.  ~Isaiah 59:4-15
Although sin is rampant today (just as it was in Isaiah's day)...the Lord WILL have the final say, and He still looks for us to stand for His justice and to see if we will intervene to help the oppressed today.
Our Lord will step in one day to save with his strong arm, but what can we do to help today?
We don't want Him to look and be displeased with us, or amazed that we did not intervene to help the oppressed.
We serve both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God.  They are one in the same.  Repent now.  Come back to him now.  Keep living for the Lord today.
And then the Lord has a promise for us: And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the Lord, have spoken!" (Isaiah 59:21).
