Where are we standing today?

On a breathtaking (literal or proverbial) mountaintop?  Life is good, and we feel blessed, and... YES!

Or:

On a briar-filled unknown path with weeds and thorns growing over our opportunities and not a soul in sight to offer comfort, direction, or hope.

Standing-tall or crumpled-up: in either spot (or anywhere in between) today, there is one sure way to connect with God and to usher in His presence: Worship the Lord with gladness today (Psalm 100:2).

No, I am serious.  Feeling GOOD, or feeling bad, we should come before the Lord today and worship the Lord with gladness, and then: watch what happens today.

God will meet us when we submit our feelings to Him.  God will be glorified when we praise His Name (no matter what we are facing) today.  God will fill us when we empty ourselves into Him.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. (2) Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  ~Psalm 100:1-2

Shout, worship, and come before Him today.

Our God is worthy of our praise and of all praise.  Let's not be grateful for created things, (even good things) such as the sun, our health, our family, our situation....instead: let's shout, worship, come before our God: the Creator of all things.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. (2) Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  ~Psalm 100:1-2

And if we are at the bottom of an emotional/physical/spiritual pit today, look up and see the light of God streaming through His Word and into us and onto us today.  The unfolding of your words gives light...  ~Psalm 139:130

God is here and He meets us (boldly) with His Word today (wherever we are at!).  And God provides instructions about how to become intimate with Him today (regardless of our situation).

How do we find God?

What opens the door to experiencing Him in an authentic way?

Worship.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. (2) Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.  ~Psalm 100:1-2

And: on top of the (proverbial) mountain...or laying (spiritually) low today: we can rejoice in the Truth that the Bible provides to us.

Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  ~Psalm 100:3

We wonder. We worry.  We fret.  We fall short.

But--not God.  Know that the Lord is God.  ~Psalm 100:3

We can't handle the "everything" of today, but God can.  And God does.  And God is.

Know that the Lord is God.  ~Psalm 100:3

He's God!!  He's got it: whatever "it" is for us today, and He's got us.  We are His.  We are his sheep and He is our Shepherd.

It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  ~Psalm 100:3

If that verse doesn't bring peace to our heart and stability to our soul today, I'm not sure what will.

He made us.

We are his.

We are his people.

We are the sheep of his pasture, which makes God our good and caring and protective Shepherd.

It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  ~Psalm 100:3

River-deep or mountain-high today: we are hisThere is life and peace and strength in this knowledge and this Truth and this verse.

And so, let's live in it today.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. (5) For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.  ~Psalm 100:4-5

The Lord is with us, brothers and sisters, and we are his.

On top of the world or down in the dumps...He relates and reaches and resounds in all of our locations.  Enter in today.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.

Give thanks to him and praise his name (Psalm 100:4) today, whether we are on the highest of highs or lowest of lows...and watch what happens.  See how our day goes.  My (spiritual) hunch and experience (and God's track-record with His children throughout the generations) is that it will be a better day if we are with God, because He is good and his love endures forever.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.  ~Psalm 100:4-5

Come before the Lord today and worship the Lord with gladness, and then: watch what happens today.  Let God happen today!

Blessings,
