There is a heaviness, a darkness, an isolation and a desperation in our guilt before God.

But there is a freedom, a release, a lifting and a lightening (of mind, body, and spirit) in the gift of God's forgiveness.

And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says, (16) “This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LordI will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”

(17) Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”

(18) And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.  ~Hebrews 10:15-18

Ahhhhh.  Forgiveness from God.
Receive it (although unexplainable).

When we feel His forgiveness: the blinders-of-badness come off.  We exit the tunnel of heaviness and condemnation.  We relax in the Lord.  We breathe...and we live.

Live for the Lord today.  He has forgiven us.  Of everything.

How?
God has made us holy through his Son.

For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

(11) Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.

(12) But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.  ~Hebrews 10:10-12

It's okay.  God has forgiven us.
  • You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.  ~Psalm 86:5
  • Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.  ~Proverbs 28:13
  • All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: (19) that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. (20) We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. (21) God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.  ~2 Corinthians 5:18-21

  • Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. (22) But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— (23) if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.  ~Colossians 1:21-23

And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says, (16) “This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the LordI will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”

(17) Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”  ~Hebrews 10:15-17

Our sins are gone to God.  Thank you, Lord.  Let them be gone to us today.  Let's move forward in the light of the Lord's forgiveness.

Let's live forgiven.  ...Because we are

Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”  ~Hebrews 10:17

If God has chosen to forget (not remember) our sins, then we must also.

God makes a new covenant with us today.
"I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”  (Hebrews 10:16)

Ahhhhh.  Forgiveness from God.
Receive it today...and live.
