Happy Father's Day to my Dad.
I remember family vacations with my dad at the wheel. There was often fishing involved, and very delicious stops for food. (Shout out to Zehnder's Chicken in Frankenmuth and Ted's Hot Dogs in Buffalo!).
I remember generosity from my dad way back in the old days and right up until today. He took God's call of being the provider for our family seriously, and from cars to college and everything in between: my dad provides generously.
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. ~I Timothy 5:8
I remember my dad walking me down the aisle and the emotion in his voice when we said, "Her mother and I do.". A good dad is there for his children. And a great dad gives his blessing to their next phase, even when it means that his role is changing forever.
I am grateful for my Dad. Happy Father's Day to my Dad.

Happy Father's Day to my Husband.
I still remember praying alone in my apartment in my late twenties and finally giving God the reins over my heart. Within weeks I met my husband. Within a year we were married, and even from the first date: we both knew.
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. ~Genesis 2:24
This man (of God) has led (first) me, and (then, one at a time) our family of five daily and weekly and for decades in the Word and Ways of the Lord. Happy Father's Day to my husband who reads the Bible daily, teaches the Bible daily to our family and countless others, and who mimics Christ closer than anyone I've ever known.
Happy Father's Day to my Husband who not only talks the talk, but who every single day walks the walk.
- As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. (2) Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (3) Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. ~Ephesians 4:1-3
...so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God... ~Colossians 1:10
I am grateful for my Husband. Happy Father's Day to my Husband.

Happy Father's Day to our Lord.
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. ~Psalm 145:8
Although we all have some excellent examples of earthly men that we can look to and be grateful for on Father's Day, our Father in Heaven will always be our perfect example. He is love.
...because God is love. ~I John 4:8
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gave His Son's life for us.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He also disciplines us.
And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. (6) For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child."
(7) As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? (8) If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.
(9) Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? ~Hebrews 12:5-9
I am grateful for our God. Happy Father's Day to our Heavenly Father. We are blessed and grateful to be Your children.
(1) Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
(2) Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—(3) who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, (4) who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, (5) who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
(6) The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed...
(8) The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (9) He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; (10) he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
(11) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; (12) as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
(13) As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; (14) for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
(15) The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; (16) the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
(17) But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—(18) with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
(19) The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
(20) Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. (21) Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. (22) Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion. ~Psalm 103:1-6, 8-22

Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers and father-figures in our lives and in our memories today. And all honor and glory to our Heavenly Father in Heaven.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. ~Psalm 68:5
