And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. (15) And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.  ~I John 5:14-15

Father, Your Word tells us that You hear us whenever we ask for anything that pleases You.

Lord, we ask your blessing over our families today.  Help us to build in to our families.  To build up our families.  And Father, we ask You to build faith in our families

These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, (2) so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.

(3) Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

(4) Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (5) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (6) These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. (7) Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (8) Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. (9) Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  ~Deuteronomy 6:1-9

Mighty God, we ask for work ethic today.  Whatever work you have laid before us, let us get after it today.  May we do our best at it today.  Help us to contribute positively in all situations today, Lord.

  • Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (24) since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.  ~Colssians 3:23-24
  • Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might...  ~Ecclesiastes 9:10
  • And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  ~Colossians 3:17

Holy Father, we ask for a stronger faith today.  Not a stronger schedule, nor stronger actions, or stronger outcomes.  All of those things are up to You, Lord, but we ask You to increase our faith in You today. Increase our desire for You and Your Word, Lord.

Lord, we ask for less of us today and more of You today.

He must increase, but I must decrease.  ~John 3:30

Almighty God, we ask for others to see You through us today, Lord.  Let our smile disarm competition and strife...and instead, may we provide a warm calm to others as we exhibit Your love, acceptance, and good plan for them through any means that You direct us to.

We ask this of You today, God.

  • Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.  ~Matthew 5:9
  • If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  ~Romans 12:18
  • Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.  ~2 Corinthians 13:11

Father we ask for Your holy guard and guidance over our words today.  May what we say be Yours and of Your Spirit.

  • The tongue has the power of life and death...  ~Proverbs 18:21
  • Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

~~~
Gracious Lord, we ask that you guide our steps today, Lord.  Direct our thoughts, our words, and our lives today.
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  ~Proverbs 3:5-6
~~~

We ask You for everything, and we seek to please You today, Lord.  Amen.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. (15) And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.  ~I John 5:14-15

Blessings,

sarah
