It just depends on the (spiritual) situation...
Sometimes we are struck humble, and meek, and we bow (in word, attitude and spirit) before the Lord Almighty.
He is holy! And our words to Him or about Him must be subservient to His power and authority and holiness.
Yes, sometimes we come meekly.
But, it depends on the spiritual situation.
Sometimes we cannot stop the words and their vigor from our lips, when the Lord has stirred our spirit to speak on His behalf.
He is holy! And our words to Him or about Him are sometimes charged with His power and authority. At times, the Lord will give His Word to be spoken, and look out if we are the bearers!
Those speaking for the Lord Almighty will carry a severity and authority to their words that is not their own. And we will know it when we hear it (or speak it).

Amos was a regular guy, by his own admission. “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees." ~Amos 7:14
Amos didn't ask to be a prophet of the Lord and speaking God's Word and judgment over people (if they do not repent) is not a highly sought-after position (in Amos' day, or now).
But God tapped Amos to be in His service. And Amos obeyed.
Sometimes Amos spoke meekly.
When God told Amos that he was going to send locusts and then fire to ruin the land of Israel (Jacob) due to the sin of His people, Amos quietly begged the Lord's mercy on the people's behalf...and God listened to him and relented.
This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the late crops were coming up. (2) When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!”
(3) So the Lord relented.
“This will not happen,” the Lord said.
(4) This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: The Sovereign Lord was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land. (5) Then I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!”
(6) So the Lord relented. “This will not happen either,” the Sovereign Lord said. ~Amos 7:1-6
Amos spoke meekly before the Lord. His heart was pure and God heard his prayer.
Sometimes we will speak and serve our Lord in humility. Backstage. Humbly.
And sometimes there will be a fire from the Lord within us that cannot be quenched, and others will see and hear it.
The Lord spoke of judgment to Amos because of the people's sin, including the king and the priests of the land.
One of the priests, Amaziah, who was comfortable in his sin, challenged Amos, and told him to get out of town with God's prophesies.
The meek Amos disappeared and strong words of authority and God's judgment came from the lips of Amos.
Don't get in the way of God. He will not be silenced or swept under the rug, and the same is true for those that He calls to speak His truth.
Sometimes we serve in meekness, and sometimes God gives His message to be delivered with supernatural strength: His.
When Amaziah tried to kick Amos out, Amos spoke with God's power and authority, and Amaziah would have consequence...
This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. (8) And the Lord asked me, “What do you see, Amos?”
“A plumb line,” I replied.
Then the Lord said, “Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
(9) “The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.”
(10) Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: “Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words.
(11) For this is what Amos is saying: “‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’”
(12) Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there. (13) Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom.”
(14) Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. (15) But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ (16) Now then, hear the word of the Lord.
You say, “‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’
(17) “Therefore this is what the Lord says: “‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’” ~Amos 7:7-17

Can we see (and spiritually sense) the difference between the humility and meekness of Amos saying: “Sovereign Lord, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!” (Amos 7:2) and the (God) authority and strength of Amos laying consequences on Amaziah, his wife, his children and all of Israel ("And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.” ~Amos 7:1-17).
It just depends on the (spiritual) situation...
Sometimes we are struck humble, and meek, and we bow (in word, attitude and spirit) before the Lord Almighty.
But sometimes we cannot stop the words and their vigor from our lips, when the Lord has stirred our spirit to speak on His behalf.

Watch for both displays of the Lord ministering through Believers around us...and watch for both (humility-at-times and boldness-at-times) in ourselves.
God moves in us in different ways at different times and He leads our steps...and our words for Him.
Heart pounding, a fire inside, and we know.
Only God gives us the green light for speaking something on His behalf, but we will know it when He gives that green light.

Humble and meek before God, or bold and brazen in representing His truth...
It just depends on the (spiritual) situation...
