Jesus didn't...and He never will.
But Jesus will never give up on us.
Jesus gave himself up on Good Friday because He will never give up on us and the hope of us coming to Him.
Be reminded of what God's Word (the Bible) says about our sin:
- The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (9) He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; (10) he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. (11) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; (12) as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (13) As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him... Psalm 103:8-13
- “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. ~Isaiah 1:18
Judas sinned against Jesus...he betrayed Him, but so have we, Beloved.
Sin is sin in God's eyes. He sees no difference from a lie, to adultery, to murder. Any sin and all sin is offensive to our holy Heavenly Father.
But--don't give up (because of the weight of our sin) today.
Jesus didn't give up on us, and He never will.
Don't give up today. When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders. (4) “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”
(5) So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself. ~Matthew 27:3-5
Jesus didn't...and He never will.

What is the one thing that God the Father and Christ the Son will NEVER say about our sin?
“What is that to us?”...“That’s your responsibility.” ~Matthew 27:4
Jesus doesn't (ever) give up on us. (And He could have.) But Jesus died to forgive and cleanse our sins. And taking on our sin meant taking on the punishment for our sin.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
(6) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. ~Isaiah 53:5-6
Jesus took on the payment for our sin so that He could be the perfect, unblemished, and ultimate sacrifice for our sin...so that we could have eternal relations with Him and His Father in Heaven.
Jesus did not give up on us. Don't give up on Him today.
