Ahhh, wow. Have you ever stayed in a hotel room so posh that they had a fluffy, plush, white robe hanging in the closet for your comfort and care? Ahhh, wow...we can just imagine the soft warm fluff on our skin.
Or maybe we are on a cruise ship, at a bed and breakfast, or even in the comfort of our own home: and a beautiful robe of value and class and softness hangs with the purpose of being hung over our shoulders and body---as a treat and reward.
Ahhh, wow.

Do we ever feel as if we are standing alone for the word of God?
We have no robe over our shoulders today, and it is safe to admit that living for the Lord is difficult and lonely at times.
People can be hard to us. People can hate God, and they can hate us.
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. (19) If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
(20)... If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. (21) They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.
(22) If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. (23) Whoever hates me hates my Father as well. (24) If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. (25) But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.' ~John 15:18-25
Do we feel hated without reason by the world sometimes? Especially when we are hot on God's trail and living in pursuit of Him?
God reveals a little secret in the Book of Revelation about a special spot in Heaven that He has for us, and for all of those that live and die for Him.
They are front row as the Lamb breaks open the seals that no one else is worthy to open. Those special souls are settled under God's altar...that's special!
When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had been martyred for the word of God and for being faithful in their testimony.
(10) They shouted to the Lord and said, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us?”
(11) Then a white robe was given to each of them. And they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of their brothers and sisters—their fellow servants of Jesus who were to be martyred—had joined them. ~Revelation 6:9-11

What are we working-for/saving-for/pining-for/planning-for/dreaming-for/scheming-for today in our hopes for tomorrow?
Let's live (and die) in ways to attain that promised/foretold/prophesied white robe.
What does that mean? That means that today we live for the word of God. That means that today we are faithful in our testimony.
And that means that God is honored when we choose Him over this world and its ways, and He will bless us with a special spot in Heaven and a white robe one day.
Ahhh, wow.
But now the Lord declares: ‘...Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained. ~I Samuel 2:30
Ahhh, wow...let's picture ourselves in Heaven with the soft warm fluff on our skin: a beautiful robe of value and class and softness is draped over our shoulders and body---as a treat and reward from our Heavenly Father.
Ahhh, wow.

If we feel today as if we are standing alone for the word of God...keep standing.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ~Ephesians 6:13
The Bible encourages us as we wait for the white robe and our special place with all the other fellow servants of Jesus.
Please Friends, let's keep being faithful in our testimony to God today, even when people seek to kill our reputation, our joy, and our efforts for the Lord. We are waiting for that God-given white robe.
Ahhh, wow.
