Keep praying to the Lord today.

Have we any idea how very precious our prayers are to our Lord?

So precious.

What have we been praying about lately?  Keep it up.
Keep asking earnestly and praying with reckless abandon and submitting our requests to God.

He hears them.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. (7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  ~Philippians 4:6-7

Our God is blessed by our prayer submissions to Him.  Did we know that He considers our prayers a form of worship to Him?... An honoring of His Name and of Him.
It's true.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ: keep praying.  Keep getting quiet before the Lord--in our prayer closet, in our car, knelt at night by our beds, over a morning mug of coffee or tea, at our work desk, while serving others, while praising Him in joy, and while shouting at Him with questions: keep praying.

Rejoice always, (17) pray without ceasing, (18) in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  ~I Thessalonians 5:16-19

Our Lord loves to receive our hearts through prayer.

As incense burns and it's smoke and scent fill a room...so (the Bible says) our prayers burn their way into God's heart and ear and awareness.  Our prayers rise to Him like smoke, and waft around Him, filling the air, like incense.

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. ~Psalm 141:2

We pray and it rises to the Lord: our prayers are heard, seen, felt and experienced by the Lord as an offering to Him.

The Book of Revelation gives us a brief (and wild) glimpse of our prayers.  The scene is set for a time down-the-line, and the apostle John is having a vision of what's-to-come, and...guess what is involved?  Our prayers, and the prayers of all God’s people

Keep praying, because in God's Word we get a preview of God's purview of our prayers to Him.

Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. (4) The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:3-4

Does it provide a new sense of purpose and value to our prayers to know that God receives them, and that our prayers are (will be) mixed with incense and go up before God.

Keep praying.

Our prayers for protection...
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:4

Our prayers for provision...
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:4

Our prayers for unity/relationships/harmony...
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:4

Our prayers for health and healing...

Our prayers for revival...
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:4

Our prayers for everything we pray for...
The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.  ~Revelation 8:4

Keep praying.

Our prayers are a blessing to our Lord.  Our prayers are an offering to our Lord.  Our prayers are an offering of ourselves to our Lord.

Keep praying.  It's clear (from God's Word) that our prayers are valuable and honoring to our Lord.

When the Lamb broke the seventh seal on the scroll, there was silence throughout heaven for about half an hour. (2) I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and they were given seven trumpets.

Another angel, who had a gold incense burner, came and stood at the altar.  He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. (4) The smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of God’s holy people, ascended up to God from the altar where the angel had poured them out.  ~Revelation 8:1-4

The smoke of the incense mixed with the prayers of God's people, and all of it together ascended up to God from the altar where the angel had poured them out.

Our prayers are a perfume to God...they are an incense to Him.  Our prayers are an unseen, but not an unexperienced offering to our Lord.

Keep praying.

Our prayers (to God) are important to God.  Meaningful to Him.  Our prayers are an offering to the Lord...and not just our major things, but all of our minor things too: we can lift to Him in prayer

And so keep lifting our prayers to God today.  May our prayers be set before Him as incense...and Revelation 8 tells us that they are.

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. ~Psalm 141:2

Blessings,
