Maybe today we can't get out from under the covers.  Or maybe we are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to take on the world.  Either way, give God a clap and publish his glorious deeds among the nations.  Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. (Psalm 96:3).

Things can get heavy in our minds and hearts.  The intimidation and weight of our circumstances can isolate us and feel personally enclosing today.

But...

Sing to the Lord; praise his name.  Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. ~Psalm 96:1

In a grateful, refreshing, revitalizing and God-focused way, we can remember and experience that although our thoughts and circumstances can burden us: God-in-the-world and God's blessing in our circumstances is something to be grateful for!  Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! (~Psalm 96:4).

And gratitude-in-our-today changes our today.  God is so good.  People and institutions may falter but God never fails.  Remembering Who He is and all that He has done is mood-altering!

Maybe it's an anniversary or birthday:  Sing a new song to the Lord!  Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! (Psalm 96:1)

Maybe it's time with loved ones and realizing the blessing of having loved ones: Sing to the Lord; praise his name. (Psalm 96:2).

Maybe it's waking up and being able to get up--Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. (Psalm 96:2).

Maybe it's a crisp sunrise or burning sunset, the falling rain or a windy day: Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. (Psalm 96:3).

Maybe it's an answered prayer or the peace of His presence as we wait for the prayer to be answered: Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. (Psalm 96:3).

Maybe it's His Word (The Bible) speaking right into your heart or a sermon preached just for us: Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!  He is to be feared above all gods. (Psalm 96:4).

Maybe it's God's hand so clearly over us and in the details of our lives--He is truth and worthy of our worship!: The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the Lord made the heavens! (Psalm 96:5).

Maybe it is the breath of hope, peace and rebirth we get during that sermon or while singing in worship: Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary. (Psalm 96:6)

Maybe it’s laying our national, governmental, and authority worries at the foot of the cross and accepting that God is in control: O nations of the world recognize the Lord; recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. (Psalm 96:7).

Maybe it’s sharing our story and severing our pride.  Giving Him the glory and submitting to His will: Give to the Lord the glory he deserves!  Bring your offering and come into his courts.  (Psalm 96:8).

Maybe we can get caught up in the awe of God today: Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.  Let all the earth tremble before him.  (Psalm 96:9).

Maybe we sign-up for the missions trip or the local food drive, and we see those who are searching: Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!”  The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.   He will judge all people fairly.  (Psalm 96:10).

Maybe we see HIM in the stars and their arrangements and know He has a pattern to our lives as well.  As the waters teem with life from Him, so do we!  Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoices!  Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!  (Psalm 96:11).

In the bounty from the harvest and in the whisper of the trees--we see His glory and the earth proclaims it:  Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!  Let the trees of the forest rustle with praise (13) before the Lord, for he is coming!   (Psalm 96:12-13).

Maybe it is the hope of our eternity with Him, or the joyful expectation of being united with our Lord and Savior one day: He is coming to judge the earth.  He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with his truth.  (Psalm 96:13).

Whatever it is that causes us to cling-to-Jesus and to sing-of-Jesus today--Sing to the Lord; praise his name.  Each day proclaims the good news that he saves. (Psalm 96:2).

On top of the world or in-a-slump/buried in grief/exhausted by life/bitter or burnt today: Give God a clap.  Watch to see your body, mind, and spirit react in the truth of His worthiness of our praise and gratitude for Him and all that He has done.

We have a butterfly yard decoration that is solar-powered. The sunnier it is, the faster that little butterfly flies around her path.

Try it! If we will acknowledge our exposure to The Son, the gratitude and worship that we give Him will power us spiritually as we fly around our paths of life.

Gratitude is God-propelled.

Try it!  In our joy and even in our misery--speaking praise to God lifts us because He is good and giving God glory and praise has an effect on our hearts and minds.  Either way, give God a clap and Sing to the Lord; praise his name.  Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. ~Psalm 96:1
