The word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ~John 1:14

In that Bethlehem barn so long ago,

The word became flesh. (John 1:14).

Witnessed only by Mary and Joseph and the stable's four-legged audience.

We observed his glory... (John 1:14).

But His radiance cannot be contained or limited, and even the stars shouted of His birth:

"For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”  ~Matthew 2:2

The holy mystery surrounding the depth of Your love becoming flesh and dwelling among us may never be fully unraveled.

Our finite minds and hearts can't grasp the full...grace and truth that You were born to bring.

But we can (symbolically/spiritually/figuratively/faithfully) grasp that tiny hand reaching out to us from the manger today.

Today we observe Your glory.

The glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14).

We observe Your glory in the blessings of today. In the wonder of today, in the spiritual miracle of today.

In the simplicity of what You mean for us today, and the grandeur of what You mean for us today.

We observe Your glory in the memories of yesterday and yesteryear.

We observe Your glory in the strength You provide--resilience.

We observe Your glory in the childhood joy of today--realtime or remembered.

Whether we gather with many today or sit in silence with You, we are never alone.

The word became flesh and dwelt among us. ~John 1:14

Observe His glory today.

The glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14).

He was born so that we might live! (I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  ~John 10:10).

Merry Christmas.

Blessings,

sarah
