There's a catchy little line from the Disney movie, "Finding Nemo" that repeats, 'Just keep swimming" over and over.

If you've ever seen the movie, you can probably hear Dory's voice saying it in your head right now.
"Just keep swimming...just keep swimming..."

Where are we in our faith today?  If we are feeling alone or even lonely in our service to the King..."just keep swimming".

The waters may seem choppy or we may feel as if we are afloat in this huge ocean-of-a-world without any signs of (other Believer) life on the horizon.

"Just keep swimming".

In Romans 10, the apostle Paul encouraged his Believer-listeners by referencing the prophet Elijah, who cried out to God because he felt like he was alone in persevering for the Lord.

But he wasn't, and God reminded him of that.
God's reminding us of it today too:

...and do you remember God's reply?  He said, "No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!"  ~Romans 11:4

Elijah wasn't alone in his crusade for Christ...he just felt like it at the moment.

We have those moments too.

Are we feeling that way today?

We are not alone as we fight in God's army and link arms with His other children.  And even if we cannot "feel' the physical connection of those spiritual partnerships today, they are there.  God chose us (and others!) to serve Him.

"Just keep swimming..."

There were 7,000 others serving the Lord in Elijah's day, and there are Believers planted all around us today too, whether we "see" them or not.

It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel (God's people) have remained faithful because of God's grace--his undeserved kindness in choosing them.  ~Romans 11:

I like that God has to clarify that even our faithfulness and our desire to serve Him is because of Him.

But none-the-less...God's Word is talking about you and me!

If we have remained faithful (and I pray that we have!), it's not because of us... it is because of Him, and we MUST "keep on swimming" for the Lord.

Persevere for the Lord today!

Put in the work for the Lord today.

Smile through it for the Lord today.

Accept it for the Lord today.

Remain faithful because of God's grace today.

~~~
Just keep swimming for the Lord today.
We're not alone, and there are many more "with" us that we just may not see at the moment.  But keep swimming and we will.
Blessings,
sarah
