Corona Devo 1119

I've been meaning to do it for weeks.  (Has it been a month?)  God placed some people on my heart, and I meant to...I wanted to write them a note to encourage them (God's idea, not mine), and yet...it hadn't happened.

I wasn't getting it done.  It's accurate to say that I see the paper and cards each day, and I actually desire to do it, but day after day (after day) have scrambled-by, and my "people" have no encouragement because I haven't made every effort to do it.

Has God placed someone on your heart today?  Or maybe He gave you an assignment weeks ago.   (Has it been a month?)

Let's take a moment to seize the moment to encourage another today (God's idea, not mine).

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.  ~Hebrews 3:13

We don't know what others are going through or facing today.  Their hearts may be being hardened by the deceitfulness of sinNo one cares what you're dealing with.  No one would even notice if you were  gone...

So, if God has flashed someone's name or face across our mind or heart...encourage them today!  Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.   ~Hebrews 3:13

If we have been meaning to...and wanting to do-something/say-something/make-something/send-something to encourage someone today...today's the day!  Do not forget to do it for one more day!

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.  ~Hebrews 13:16

If God is reminding us of someone...there's a reason why.  We may not know it, but He does, and God uses His people to encourage His people.  We know the blessing of giving and receiving the love of Christ.  We know what to do...do it in the name of Jesus today.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.  ~I Thessalonians 5:11

It's so easy to push the "soft" priorities back and behind the hard-deadlines and "have-to" tasks of each day.  But God's call for us to "Love one another" (John 13:34) has purpose and meaning in our lives and theirs.  Answer God's call today to build each other up.

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, (21) and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.  ~Jude 1:20-21

~~~
I'm hoping and praying that you are better than me, and you don't have people and spiritual "assignments" that you have been meaning to do for weeks.  (Has it been a month?)
I hope that if God placed someone on your heart--you meant to, you wanted to...and you did (already) do what God asked.
But...if life has been rolling along and we have not yet made every effort to do what leads to peace and the building-up of someone who needs it...then today's a good day to make the effort.  (God's idea, not mine)
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.  ~Romans 14:19
Make the effort to encourage someone today!
