We can't possibly know the details of most of our life circumstances before we enter into them. All we can do is be willing to enter in to the situations where we feel the Lord leading us.

So...want to go to a party? It's a royal one! A banquet! A celebration! And it will last over 180 days!
Pull up a fancy chair and let's join the party!:
~~~
These events happened in the days of King Xerxes, who reigned over 127 provinces stretching from India to Ethiopia...
(3) In the third year of his reign, he gave a banquet for all his nobles and officials. He invited all the military officers of Persia and Media as well as the princes and nobles of the provinces. (4) The celebration lasted 180 days—a tremendous display of the opulent wealth of his empire and the pomp and splendor of his majesty.
(5) When it was all over, the king gave a banquet for all the people, from the greatest to the least, who were in the fortress of Susa. It lasted for seven days and was held in the courtyard of the palace garden. ~Ezra 1:1, 3-5
What a party! King Xerxes treated the nobles for 180 days and then he threw a week-long party afterwards for the commoners. Either way...whatever our "status": we would have been included and blessed.
And...look around. Did you notice the décor? The opulence? The lay-out of this party? King Xerxes spared no expense:
(6) The courtyard was beautifully decorated with white cotton curtains and blue hangings, which were fastened with white linen cords and purple ribbons to silver rings embedded in marble pillars.
Gold and silver couches stood on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble, mother-of-pearl, and other costly stones.
(7) Drinks were served in gold goblets of many designs, and there was an abundance of royal wine, reflecting the king’s generosity. (8) By edict of the king, no limits were placed on the drinking, for the king had instructed all his palace officials to serve each man as much as he wanted.
(9) At the same time, Queen Vashti gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace of King Xerxes. ~Esther 1:6-9
Sounds amazing, doesn't it? The Hollywood stars ain't got nothin' on the soiree that King Xerxes threw! He had it all!
Almost.
Esther couldn't have possibly known about the coming-details of that fancy party that would affect her for the rest of her life.
We can't know what precedes us either, but we can perceive, receive and enter-in to what God calls us to today. He knows what was before us and what's coming next.
King Xerxes and Queen Vashti had a blow-up at the party. He wanted her to parade around in front of his buddies so that he could gloat and show off her beauty to them, and she said no. This made the king furious, and he burned with anger.
(13) He immediately consulted with his wise advisers... for he always asked their advice...
(15) “What must be done to Queen Vashti?” the king demanded...
(19) “...if it please the king, we suggest that you issue a written decree, a law of the Persians and Medes that cannot be revoked. It should order that Queen Vashti be forever banished from the presence of King Xerxes, and that the king should choose another queen more worthy than she...
(21) The king and his nobles thought this made good sense, so he followed Memucan’s counsel. ~Esther 1:112-13, 15, 19, 21
And if you banish the queen, then you will need to replace the queen.
Esther couldn't have possibly known that the details of that fancy party (and a royal fight occurring during it) would affect her for the rest of her life.
And we can't possibly know the details of most of our life circumstances before we enter into them either. All we can do is to be willing to enter in to the situations where we feel the Lord leading us.
What is God whispering to our hearts today? Who? Where to go. Who to minister to. What choices to make...today.
All we can do today is be willing to enter in to the situations where we feel the Lord leading us.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (12) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. ~Jeremiah 29:11-13
Seek Him and be willing to enter in to the plans that He has for us today!
