Take a moment today.
Are we busy? Rushing? Booked-solid or living-life-in-haste?
Slow down for a few minutes or moments today, and re-group with God.
I know...the calendar, the clock, the people...can make it feel as if we can't stop or even take a break...but we can, and we should.
If we will purposely seek God's peace, He will provide it, and then "productivity" or "accomplishing" takes on a whole new perspective: His.
...seek peace and pursue it. ~Psalm 34:14

Peace can come straight from God and His Word...and it does. Get up early or steal-away and let God's Word and prayer-with-Him do it's work. If it worked for Jesus, it will work for us:
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. ~Mark 1:35
Take a moment to pray today.

But peace can come in other forms. Nature, for one. The peace that is found in (enjoying) Creation is evidence of the order and purpose that God birthed in all things, including plants, animals, and us.
Step outside today. Look. Listen. Breathe. There is peace in the natural wonder of the world that our Father has created.
You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands! ~Isaiah 55:12

Not an innately-musical person, in school I found reading-music and singing or playing notes a challenge and a stress. Not peaceful.
But today as I bustled here and there, cooking, cleaning and doing, our daughter asked me stop and listen to her as she practiced her violin.
All forms of peace must begin with a ceasing, and out of love, I stepped out of productivity and into stillness to listen.
Almost immediately, I knew why King Saul used to call on young David to come and play for him when his heart and mind were troubled or at unrest.
As her bow went back and forth, my breathing slowed, my muscles relaxed, and my heart found peace.
Now the Spirit of the Lord had left Saul, and the Lord sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear.
(15) Some of Saul’s servants said to him, “A tormenting spirit from God is troubling you. (16) Let us find a good musician to play the harp whenever the tormenting spirit troubles you. He will play soothing music, and you will soon be well again.”
(17) “All right,” Saul said. “Find me someone who plays well, and bring him here.”
(18) One of the servants said to Saul, “One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that—he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine-looking young man, and the Lord is with him.”...
(21) So David went to Saul and began serving him. Saul loved David very much, and David became his armor bearer.
(23) And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away. ~I Samuel 16:14-18, 21, 23

Peace can come when we least expect it and at any hour. At midnight last night, I stopped in our son's room again to tell him, "Lights off".
He was texting someone.
"Who else is up this late?", I asked, yawning, and wishing he was already asleep.
"Jesus", he said. "I'm doing my prayer journal."
Oh. (He was texting Jesus. That's a good reason not to have your lights off yet, I thought.)
And I realized that my peace at midnight (sleep!) might not be someone else's peace at midnight. We all seek and find peace in our own ways at at our own times, and God is always up and waiting for us, no matter the hour.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? (2) My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
(3) He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; (4) indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep (5) The Lord watches over you— ~Psalm 121:1-5
Take a moment (anytime) to be with God today.

Peace--We're going to have to want it...and pursue it. But when we do, God will bring peace in our mind, body and soul.
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ~I Peter 5:7
- Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. ~Psalm 34:14
