We don't want to "test" God, but today, He does invite us to allow Him to prove His power to us.

It's His idea...not ours, and so we do not even have to feel guilty about asking.

But...what shall we have Him do?  How should we ask the Lord to prove to us his power to us?

I think that is where we interpret His challenge incorrectly.  God reminds us that He will step forward and prove to you his power...

And we need only to be still, faithful, and expectant of Him.  We do not need to give Him parameters...and much the opposite: as He will blow our boundaries away in His magnitude and magnificence. The moment we try to define our Holy God is the moment that He exceeds those very definitions.

We cannot encapsulate Him, and He's just waiting to do what He does best in the lives of those who love Him.

And He's been doing it a long, long time, and with generation after generation of His children.  (Let him do as I have done since ancient times when I established a people and explained its future.  ~Isaiah 44:7)

Our problem is that we always, inevitably end up stealing the microphone from His hands, or trying to take center-stage, instead of Him.
Not today, God says.  Let him.
Let him step forward and prove to you his power.  ~Isaiah 44:7

Let God prove Himself to us today!  Believe in Him.
Let  him step forward and prove to you his power!  ~Isaiah 44:7

God is asking us to let Him do this?  ...Why would we ever step in his way?
But we do...
Or we doubt...
Or we forget...
Or we get apathetic in remembering...

But God boldly and powerfully reminds us today of Who. He. Is.  (Lest we forget): “I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.  ~Isaiah 44:6

Let him step forward and prove to you His power.  ~Isaiah 44:7

Let him do as I have done since ancient times...   ~Isaiah 44:7

And then...what does He cite/mention/and boast about?  ...US!  His people.  His plans for us: His children and His believers, which he established in ancient times.

Let him do as I have done since ancient times when I established a people and explained its future.   ~Isaiah 44:7

Let him step forward today.
Let him prove to you His power today.
Let him do as he has done since ancient times today.

This is not my idea or your hope/wish/dream for today, this is God's Word being breathed into our hearts and minds and situations today.

This is the Lord's idea for us today.

In His own words, He says, "This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: “I am the First and the Last; there is no other God" (Isaiah 44:6).

Do we remember (know!) Who we're dealing with?  Who we're trusting?  Who is in dominion of us and over us today?

Let him step forward today.
Let him prove to you His power today.
Let him do as he has done since ancient times today.

Let him today.  And He will blow our boundaries away in His magnitude and magnificence.

Blessings,
