Ever seen a little kid waiting in excitement to open gifts beneath a Christmas tree?  They can not keep still.

Ever had a neighbor or friend with a juicy piece of local gossip to share?  They cannot remain silent.

~~~
Do we love God?  Do we love Jesus?  Are we affected by Their saving grace over our lives (and deaths!)?
Then don't keep still about it today!
~~~

Do we yearn for a Heaven without pain/sin/callousness/and sorrow?  Do we yearn to have the heart of God for others?  Do we yearn for God's ways instead of man's ways?  Do we yearn for God's Truth and Word over man-made-truth and idle words?
Then don't keep silent about it today!

~~~
When we are excited(!) or are in-anticipation of something that we are passionate about (like Christmas, a reunion...or JESUS!) then we (naturally) will not keep still and cannot remain silent about it.
But what's become of our zest for Jesus?
Have we grown ungrateful for God's glory?
Have we become desensitized to the deity of our Divine Lord?
Has our spiritual passion grown stale?
If the answer (and the evidence of our days) proves to be yes, then let today be our spiritual wake-up call.
But if our pulse skips a beat when we think of our King, and if we are still in awe that He loves me, and if we continue to realize that God is holy and yet He still desires unholy us...
Then do not keep still about it today.
Do not remain silent about it today.
Because I love Zion, I will not keep still.
Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent.
I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.
(2) The nations will see your righteousness.  World leaders will be blinded by your glory.  And you will be given a new name by the Lord’s own mouth.
(3) The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see—a splendid crown in the hand of God...
(5) Your children will commit themselves to you, O Jerusalem, just as a young man commits himself to his bride.
Then God will rejoice over you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride...
(10) Go out through the gates!  Prepare the highway for my people to return!  Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see.
(11) The Lord has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people of Israel, ‘Look, your Savior is coming.  See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.’”
(12) They will be called “The Holy People”  and “The People Redeemed by the Lord.”...  ~Isaiah 62:1-3, 5, 10-12
These verses are for us today!
Because we love the Lord and what is holy to Him, we will not keep still today!
Get moving for Jesus!  Bring others with us to hear about Jesus!
~~~

Because our hearts yearn for Jesus and His holy city, we cannot remain silent.
Let's stop being shy about the salvation that Christ offers.  Can you think of anyone who has died that didn't know Jesus?   We cannot remain silent.

Can we remember the weight lifted, the hope found, the love felt...when we understood God loved us and when we accepted His call to love Him?  We cannot remain silent.

Share (outloud and with words) the story of our faith with someone today.  We cannot remain silent.

~~~
We will not stop praying until God's righteousness shines like the dawn, and His salvation blazes like a burning torch.
Don't you dare stop praying for God's righteousness!  He hears our prayers and people's lives and faith are changed by them!
~~~

Get busy for Jesus today.  Because we love  Him, we will not keep still.
Speak up, speak out and speak-of Jesus today.  Because our heart yearns for Him, we cannot remain silent.

Blessings,

sarah
