We are enough today.

Just as we are, without any embellishments or improvements: right now and today, and just as we are: we are enough for God.  God loves us today.  He really loves us.

No "extras" needed, no catches lurking, and no excuses: God loves us and calls us His children today.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!  ~I John 3:1

Stop battling with the acceptance of this truth of God.  We have to stop trying, and failing, and flailing, and trying to earn it.  We can't.  But we don't need to.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  ~John 3:16

God really loves us, and all He asks is that we choose to love Him back.

We can relax in this Truth today.  Please...relax in this truth today.

We are enough for Him.  Let that be enough for us.

~~~
Others are enough today.
We often see the imperfections, the short-comings, the "next" steps.  But God sees others just as they areand He loves them fully right there.
I so easily fall into a critical attitude with my kids and husband, seeing "what else" they need to do and be, instead of seeing all that they are.
We are enough for God today, and others are enough for Him too.  He loves all of us beyond measure right here and now.  Can we love each other this way?
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”  ~John 13:34-35
Do we understand how very much God loves us?
Do we live and love in such a way that others (especially those close to us) understand how very much God loves them
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19)
Too often (way too often), we get caught up in the world's checklist of success and we forget what is most important...for ourselves and for others.
Lord, help us to put first-things-first today, and to see ourselves and others as You see us.  YOU and Your commands are first and foremost.  Everything else will fall into place if we allow You and Your Word to stay First Place in our hearts and lives.  We are enough for You and others are enough for You, too.  Your love burns for us today but we must burn for You and Your Word today.  Amen.
These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, (2) so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.
(3) Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.
(4) Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (5) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (6) These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. (7) Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  ~Deuteronomy 6:1-8
We are enough for God today.  We can stop trying to be "more".
Others are enough for God today.  Love them like God already does.
  • The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.  ~Zephaniah 3:17
  • God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.  ~Ephesians 1:5
We are (all) enough...because our God is everything.
Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God...  ~2 Corinthians 3:5
