If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
~~~
Hats off to our teachers today.
A hearty "Bravo!" to the brave souls that invest-in and impact our children and the world's children.
How can we appreciate (enough) these men and women that (for ten months out of the year) often spend more time with our kids than we do?
For starters, let's appreciate them and what they are called to.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, (5) so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
(6) We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; (7) if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; (8) if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. ~Romans 12:4-8
We each do have different gifts, and teaching is definitely a gift.
Ask the young man or woman who has felt God whisper to their heart to pursue the vocation of teaching. If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
And today we praise the Lord for those who have answered the call to teach.
~~~
Ask the student that rarely speaks or shares in class due to low self-esteem or a lack-of-understanding...until a teacher intervenes and interacts with them. The influence of daily investment through a teacher can be mood-altering, self-image-redefining, and life-changing for a student.
Today we thank the teachers that have made a difference.
If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
~~~
Ask the student who was bored but got challenged by a teacher. Cheers to those educators who have a gift at pushing students further and educating them deeper...because some students want and need that in order to stay engaged in school and life.
Today we thank God for the go-beyond educators.
If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
~~~
Ask the parent of a special-needs child about the pivotal role that their child's teachers play. The care, the intentionality, the patience, the routine, the love that God has placed in the heart of a teacher is sometimes unexplainable and oftentimes makes all the difference in the world .
We are grateful today for the teachers who share their gifts with those who need it.
If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
~~~
Ask the child that doesn't want to be in school but is, and a teacher meets them just where they are at. Engaging, forgiving, and real...today we rally around the teachers who influence just by being themselves and who allow and work-wonders-with students who are trying to figure out who they are.
If your gift is...teaching, then teach. ~Romans 12:4
~~~
The impact and influence of a great teacher can never be completely calculated, but the best educators change lives daily and make a lifetime of difference.
We know this because we remember the teachers who made a difference for us.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift... (7) is teaching, then teach... ~Romans 12:6-7
~~~
Lift a prayer of praise to the Lord for the teachers that helped make us who we are. That challenged us. That accepted us. That taught us. That reigned-us-in sometimes. That let us run-free other times. That taught because teaching was their gift.
Hats off to our teachers today.
But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it... (11) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, (12) to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (13) until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. ~Ephesians 4:7, 11-16
