We keep thinking--what else can we do?  To change our situation.  To please God.  To move from this circumstance into a better one.

What else can we do?  What else can we plan?  What else...what else...what else, we wonder?

But--what if it is NOT what we can do (at all).  What if we stopped striving and stepped back and submitted our situation/plans/circumstances/control to God.  And then...what if we saw our God at work and were glad?

What if we let God work today, instead of us?

The humble will see their God at work and be glad.  Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.   ~Psalm 69:32

Would it blow us away to see God take the wheel today?

Here is a better question...and be honest...are we even willing to take our hands off of the wheel long enough to "let God drive" our lives?

Do we trust the God of the universe to take care of us?  Or are we so used to taking control and care of ourselves that we are unwilling to relinquish control?

Warning!: It's hard.

Warning!: It's going to feel like we/our lives are out of control.  Because if we do "submission to God" correctly, then our lives will be out of our control...and into His.

It's a big risk (us not being in control).  And because of this, most of us miss many of the blessings that God has waiting for us.   But if we will risk it, we will see our God at work and be glad.

Would it blow us away to see God take the wheel today?

Warning!: It's going to take humility.  If we let God lead our life, then we cannot lead our life.

Warning!  It will blow us away if we will let God take the wheel today.

But...just let Him work, and see what happens.

The humble will see their God at work and be glad.  Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.   ~Psalm 69:32

He'll rescue us, just wait and see.  (His Word tells us that He will.)

We think we have to rescue ourselves.  We worry that we have to figure it all out.  We stress and struggle to have a plan and plot and fix and to be perfect.  ...We keep doing and sacrificing, and much of the time we even think we're doing the right thing in all of our doing...

But God doesn't want or need all of that.  We  can keep all of our planning and thinking and working and earning and our sacrifices of "cattle" and "bulls".

God just wants us.  And He just wants us to let Him take the wheel of our lives.  He knows just where we are going, and He knows just how to get us there safely.

Praise Him today, instead of peppering Him with worrisome prayers.

He'll rescue us, if we allow Him to.  But (Warning!), we have to be humble and give Him the wheel.

Rescue me, O God, by your saving power.  (30) Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.  (31) For this will please the Lord more than sacrificing cattle, more than presenting a bull with its horns and hooves.

(32) The humble will see their God at work and be glad.  Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.

(33) For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people.

(34) Praise him, O heaven and earth, the seas and all that move in them.  (35) For God will save Jerusalem and rebuild the towns of Judah.  His people will live there and settle in their own land.

(36) The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there in safety.  ~Psalm 69:29-36

There's only one way to find out.

Let Him work.  Watch Him work.  Praise God.  Honor God.

Let Him work in our lives today.
