As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. (7) Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (8) Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.

(9) Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.  ~Ephesians 6:6-9

Work with enthusiasm today, whether we are folding laundry and changing diapers, or folding orphans and foster children into new families and changing life-legacies.

Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.  ~Ephesians 6:7

~~~
Work with enthusiasm today, whether we are serving coffee or escargot.  Whether we are serving diplomats or itty-bitty babies.  In everything, God reminds us that we are serving Him.
Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.  ~Ephesians 6:7
Work with enthusiasm today, whether we are polishing a chandelier or wiping an infant or elderly bum.  Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.   ~Ephesians 6:8
Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people today because WE ARE!
The Lord sees us in our work.  Some of our work is paid, but so much of what we do in life is unpaid, un-thanked, and often unappreciated.  We must get used to that, we must accept that, we must embrace that, and when we choose to excel at the work that we do (and often the work that no one sees)...then we are truly working with enthusiasm as though we were working for the Lord rather than people.
Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.   ~Ephesians 6:8
...whether we are slaves or free.   ~Ephesians 6:8
God doesn't care about our Earthly position or title.
God doesn't care whether we are blue collar or white collar, lower caste or upper caste, the heel of the loaf or the upper crust.  God doesn't mind if we make the most or are striving to make ends meet.
He isn't concerned with whether we are team captain or waterboy, and His focus is not our bank account or pedigree.  But God is concerned with the life-account that we will present to Him when the day comes for us to meet Him.  And that day will come.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.  ~2 Corinthians 5:10
So, Sisters and Brothers in Christ,, let's work with enthusiasm today (at WHATEVER we are working at), because remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free (Ephesians 6:7-8).
Blessings,
sarah
