Lord, we need reminded today that You are within us.

  • But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  ~John 14:26
  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.  ~Romans 8:11

Father, we are encouraged today to know that You empower us to live out who You have created us to be.

  • For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  (14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  ~Psalm 139:13-14

~~~
Almighty Lord, we are grateful today for who You have blessed us to be.  We praise You for the gifts You've given to each of us, and may we steward them well.
  • So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, (12) to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (13) until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  ~Ephesians 4:11-13
~~~

We praise Your holy Name today for the reminder in the Bible of who You have called us to be.

  • But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.  ~I Peter 2:9

Lord, who we are is not by chance, but (rather) by Your purposed design and by Your pattern and processes.

We thank You today for who we have become and for who we are still becoming.  Thank you for our callings and careers and the ways that You have allowed us to be educated and taught.  Thank You for the unique gifting on each of our lives, Lord.  Help us to enter in and apply the talents You have blessed us with.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.  ~2 Corinthians 3:18

~~~
Heavenly Father, we praise You for and we recognize today that we each have gifts from You.  Help us to discern them and to be good stewards of the gifts You have entrusted us with.  Don;t let us fret or compare with others, but today, may we use our unique giftings to glorify You.
Brothers and sisters, I want you to know about the gifts of the Holy Spirit...
(4) There are different kinds of gifts. But they are all given to believers by the same Spirit. (5) There are different ways to serve. But they all come from the same Lord. (6) There are different ways the Spirit works. But the same God is working in all these ways and in all people.
(7) The Holy Spirit is given to each of us in a special way. That is for the good of all. (8) To some people the Spirit gives a message of wisdom. To others the same Spirit gives a message of knowledge. (9) To others the same Spirit gives faith. To others that one Spirit gives gifts of healing. (10) To others he gives the power to do miracles. To others he gives the ability to prophesy. To others he gives the ability to tell the spirits apart. To others he gives the ability to speak in different kinds of languages they had not known before. And to still others he gives the ability to explain what was said in those languages. (11) All the gifts are produced by one and the same Spirit. He gives gifts to each person, just as he decides.  ~I Corinthians 12:1, 4-11
~~~

Thank You, Almighty God for who You saved us to be and for why You saved us.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (9) not by works, so that no one can boast. (10) For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  ~Ephesians 2:8-10

~~~
Father, we praise You for how you have gone over-the-top for us. The gifts You've given, the pleasures you have allowed, the purpose in our lives.  Because of You, we know we were meant to be.
Thank you for our passions. Thank you for our pastimes. Thank you for our soulmates and the stretching of faith, and for the promise of miracles when we will trust You.
Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. (8) Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. (9) Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love... (10) Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,  ~Ecclesiastes 9:7-10
~~~

Father, we pray these Scriptures for ourselves today.

We pray and claim Your Word...Your promises...and Your Truth: for Your people.

We are Your people, Lord.  Fill us with the Truth of Your Word today and the many ways You have called us to live in it.  To live in You.  To glorify You.  Thank You for reminding us of who we are in You and because of You.

Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.  (4) Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  (5) For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.  ~Psalm 100:3-5
