Dear hurting sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

Dear frightened sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

Dear doubting sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

Dear sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

God tells us so...through His Word: the Bible.  And I believe him.

Sometimes we forget who God is.  We get scared or more often, we get worried about ourselves or others, and we trust in our fears or insecurities more than we trust in the Lord.

But we give God too little credit in the all-powerful area.  We are not in control, but He is...of everything.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  ~Colossians 1:17

And sometimes we forget who we are.  Because we are God's children, we should not be a frail-in-mind-and-spirit unbelieving person who will be tossed by the waves of the world.  Not anymore.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.  ~Ephesians 4:14

No...remember who we are in Christ Jesus today.  Remember who we are BECAUSE of Christ Jesus today.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  ~II Corinthians 5:17

Dear hurting sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

Why?  Because God said so, in His Word.

Our roots and our hearts are cemented in Christ Jesus. We trust in the Lord. We have made Him our hope and confidence

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.  (8) They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.  ~Jeremiah 17:7-8

God has seen our strength in Him.  He has seen our faith.

And do you know who else has seen our faith and strength in God?

Many.

Our testimony is not phony, and it does not go unnoticed.

I've seen your faith.  Life has thrown you some very difficult pitches, but because of your closeness to your Heavenly Father, you are strong and healthy in Him, like a tree planted along a river bank. Your roots reach deep into God's word and into his living water

And do you know what the Bible reminds us about people like us (people that believe in Him and for Him) today?

Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.  ~Jeremiah 17:7-8

It's going to be okay. We might have heat. We may have some long months. But God's word reminds us that our leaves will stay green and we will never stop producing fruit for Him.

The Lord loves us so very deeply.  It's going to be okay.

God reminds us of who He is today.  And he reminds us of who we are in Him.

It's going to be okay.  And all glory to God for this truth.

Dear frightened/doubting/hurting sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay

  • "For the Lord your God is living among you.  He is a mighty savior.  He will take delight in you with gladness.  With his love, he will calm all your fears.  He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”  ~Zephaniah 3:17
  • For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.  ~2 Timothy 1:7

Dear sister or brother in Christ: it's going to be okay because God said so in His Word. He's got us today, and we've got Him.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.  ~Isaiah 49:16
