We have a heavy load on our shoulders. We may look fine, but underneath, overall, and day-to-day we can begin to feel crushed under the weight of the world and the heaviness all that fills our individual plates.
Children (infant/toddler/teen). Aging parents. Work. People at work. Deaths. Divorces. Discrepancies. Responsibilties. Expectations. Dashed dreams. Loneliness.
We have a heavy load on our shoulders.
But God gives us a daily regimen to follow Him, and it leads to daily survival. One. Day. At. A. Time.
We can't conquer the world, but we can conquer what we face today if we are in partnership with God and His Word.
The hard questions. The areas we want to waffle. The short-cuts we may be tempted to take: God outlines His Law so that we can have simple but firm directives for today. And if we will live-them-out today, then tomorrow will fall into place.
And God spoke all these words: (2) “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. (3) “You shall have no other gods before me.
(4) “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. (5) You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, (6) but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
(7) “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
(8) “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. (9) Six days you shall labor and do all your work, (10) but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. (11) For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
(12) “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
(13) “You shall not murder.
(14) “You shall not commit adultery.
(15) “You shall not steal.
(16) “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
(17) “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” ~Exodus 20:1-17

We have a heavy load on our shoulders today. But learning and following God's Law makes Godly choices clear for us today, and when we live God's way, we will thrive.
Next step? Pass it on. Pass Him on.
These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, (2) so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. (3) Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.
(4) Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (5) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (6) These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. (7) Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up... ~Deuteronomy 6:1-7,

We have a heavy load on our shoulders today, you have your responsibilities and pressures, and I have mine. But The Bible gives guidance on our day-to-day conduct. How to live it and how to love it into others.
How to live-God and how to love Him into others. And while, YES, we Do have a heavy load on our shoulders today, if we will live just today (and then tomorow) for the Lord...He is faithful to care for us and love us as we love Him.
...but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. ~Exodus 20:6
...by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. (3) Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. ~Deuteronomy 6:2-3
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. ~Galatians 6:9
Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. (18) Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, (19) thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the Lord said. ~Deuteronomy 6:17-19
If we are feeling a heavy load on our shoulders today, we can review the steps to take in living for the Lord, and then we will be able to review the blessings-bestowed when we do so.
Our discipline to Him lightens today's load and blesses tomorrows outcome.
Blessings,
