Omniscient and Almighty God: thank You for the Lord and Master that You are over our past, over our present and over the entirety of our lives.  May we defer to You and Your will, and may we enter whole-heartedly into serving You today.  Amen.

  • Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.  (14) He will keep you safe.   ~Isaiah 8:13-14
  • This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. (2) Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.  ~I Corinthians 4:1-2

Gracious and loving Father, thank You for the tenderness You touch us with at times.  We praise You for the comforter and nurturer that You are to us.  Amen
  • He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.  ~Psalm 91: 4
  • Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, (4) who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. ~2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Strong and mighty God, we praise You for Your discipline when we are out of line and for Your strength when we have become weakened in sin.  Like small children who will flourish with routine and schedule, we need Your direction and authority over our hearts and lives.  Your holy discipline brings flourishing into our future.  Thank You for loving us enough to rear us, Father.  Amen.

  • Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.  ~Proverbs 13:24
  • My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, (12) because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.  ~Proverbs 3:11-12
  • He makes me lie down in green pastures...  ~Psalm 23:2

O Great God and Most Holy Teacher, thank you for instructing us in Your ways.  Your Word is how we learn how to live life.  We praise You for Your instruction and the Holy Bible.  Amen.

  • Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, (2) but whose delight is in the law of the Lordand who meditates on his law day and night.  (3) That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.  ~Psalm 1:1-3
  • Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.  (90) Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.  (91) Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.  (92) If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.  (93) I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.  ~Psalm 119:89-93

King of all time and duration, thank You for sustaining us and for increasing our endurance.  We desire longevity in serving You, and this is developed over time and through trial.  Sustain us today, Father.  Amen.

  • Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  ~Galatians 6:9
  • Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; (4) perseverance, character; and character, hope.  ~Romans 5:3-4

We praise You Heavenly Father for giving us family, friends, confidants, and besties.  Your all-knowing heart knows that our hearts need support.  We thank You for loving us through the love of others.  Amen.

  • Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: (10) If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.  ~Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
  • They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer...   (44) All the believers were together and had everything in common...  (46) Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, (47) praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  ~Acts 2: 42, 44, 46-47
  • By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.  ~John 13:35

Our Lord and God is so many things to us.  He plays a myriad of roles and loves us perfectly through each one.

We praise You Lord for who You are to us.  Amen.

Let all that I am praise the Lord.  ~Psalm 103:22
