Corona Devo 1851
Are we on-hold about something today?
...the sickness or infection won't leave.
...the diagnosis (or diagnoses) keep snowballing.
Or are we trapped today in a mental cage? The door is unlocked, but still, we sit in fear...mostly of the unknown.
Or maybe it feels as if God has pressed the pause-button in a certain area of our lives. It happens to be the one area that we are desperate for direction in. But..nothing. We've been waiting. And still today...we wait.
But in the wait, God speaks a Word:
For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. ~Hebrews 3:14
..For the waiting-room-of-life that we find ourselves sitting in.
...For the answers that we await.
...For the direction that we desire.
...For the hopeless area that we need renewed hope for.
Here is our hope:
For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. ~Hebrews 3:14
How do we know?
How can we be sure?
Because: if we know and love God (Tell Him you love Him today!): then we are His house.
And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. ~Hebrews 3:6
Brothers and Sisters in Christ: we are God’s house. Have hope today.
In the wait. In the healing. In the mundane. In the rollercoaster. In the chaos. In the downpour and in the inferred hopelessness of today: Have hope today.
As we pray for direction, know that it will come. Because Jesus Christ is in charge of us and our hope is in Him.
But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. ~Hebrews 3:6
Let's keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ today.
We can keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ today.
You and me: we will!
We will keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ (Hebrews 3:6) today, and we can do that because He promises that we will share in all that belongs to Christ...as long as we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed (Hebrews 3:14).
Here we go! Let's trust Him firmly today, and whatever we are "waiting" for: keep staying faithful (and hope-filled) about it: to the end.
