When the Israelites escaped from Egypt—when the family of Jacob left that foreign land—(2) the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. ~Psalm 114:1-2
Then and now...God's heart and love for Israel and its people is age-old.
God has graciously opened the door to His heart and His Kingdom to every person and all peoples, but He will always keep his promise, and affinity for Israel and her people...His people.

I am not a news anchor (but: Fun Fact!: One of my Majors in college was Speech Communications and I studied and interned to be a news anchor). And I am also not a newspaper journalist (but: Fun Fact!: My other Major in college was English, and I studied Journalism, wrote for the college newspaper, and wanted to be a journalist).
Today I am neither a news anchor nor a news journalist, but I see Israel and her people in the written and screen news all the time. I see what they say about Israel. I read what they write about the people of Israel.
The Bible reminds us today that we should know, and not forget or waffle, on what God says about Israel and her people( the Israelites/Jews).
God's people in nationality and spirituality: the Jewish people have always faced persecution and opposition. But that is the nature of the devil: he is the father of lies (John 8:44) and disharmony, and he will always attempt to dim God's light (and those shining it) via misinformation, propaganda and deceit.
But we must not be uninformed about what God says about Israel and the people of Israel.
Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. ~Hebrews 12:25
The Bible is God's Word and every word on every page is speaking to us. The people of Israel are God's chosen people. God will and has moved Heaven and Earth for them.

(3) The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away.
(4) The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs!
(5) What’s wrong, Red Sea, that made you hurry out of their way? What happened, Jordan River, that you turned away? (6) Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs?
(7) Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. (8) He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock. ~Psalm 114:1-8

If we read and hear the news today and are confused about whose side to be on: Be on God's side.
Read God's news:
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. (7) May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.” (8) For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.” (9) For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity. ~Psalm 122:6-9
- The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (2) “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. (3) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." ~Genesis 12:1-3
- “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, (2) I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. (3) They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine to drink. (4) “Now what have you against me, Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia?... (5) For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples. (6) You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, that you might send them far from their homeland. (7) “See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them, and I will return on your own heads what you have done. (8) I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far away.” The Lord has spoken. (9) Proclaim this among the nations... (12) “Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side... (16) The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. (17) “Then you will know that I, the Lord your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her. (18) “In that day the mountains will drip new wine... (20) Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations. ~Joel 3:1-9, 12, 16-18
Then and now...God loves us all, but He will always keep his promise, and special affinity for His original and always chosen country and people: Israel.
If we are confused about whose side to be on: Be on God's side.
