The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions. ~Proverbs 28:1
What are we afraid of?
Lord don't let us run away from what you have in store for us today. Don't let us run away from your plans for us. Don't let us run away because we're anxious, or worried, or frozen-with-fear, or overwhelmed. Make us as bold as lions for you, Father.

What will it mean for us to be as bold as lions today for God?
What if we were as bold as lions with ________ ---with what? With whom?
Whoever or whatever just popped into our mind---what if we are as bold as lions with that/them?
Why are we running away? Don't we trust God? We can, Beloved. We can have faith in our Lord. And when we do, and if we will...if we will be as bold as lions, then we will see the "what-if's" fall away and the fears melt.
No one is chasing us.
Let's be bold as lions for the Lord today.

Intimidated? Overwhelmed? Scared? Exhausted?
We don't need to run away. Indeed, the Bible says that the wicked run away when no one is chasing them. We are not wicked. We do not want to be wicked. We do not want to run away anymore, Lord.
When no one is chasing them.
What are we afraid of today? Go ahead and put it into words, or put it down on paper. Can we?
So often the Boogeyman in our life is not even intelligible. It is merely the opinions of others. The assumed criticisms of others. The expectations of others.
And we run away.
Stop.
No one is chasing us today. Let us stop running away. Let us be bold as lions for God today, and because we are Godly today.
Let us be Godly today, Lord. Let us be bold as lions for you today, Lord. Bold as lions for Your truth to someone who needs You today, Lord. Bold as lions in the wake of wokeness. Bold as lions in our work, and bold as lions in our home/on our teams/in our groups/on our streets. Make us godly and as bold as lions for You today, Lord. Amen.
