Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!

Let everyone repeat this:  “His faithful love endures forever.”

And let's not just say this, but let's say it over and over and over today:  “His faithful love endures forever.”

Because, well...it's true!  And we should also say (and repeat) this today because God repeatedly tells us to

In Psalm 118, God says (to anyone reading His Word): Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever (Psalm 118:1).  He is addressing all of us.

But then God gets specific about who should repeat “His faithful love endures forever”, and He says: Let all Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever”  (Psalm 118:2).

And then God gets more-specific about who should also repeat “His faithful love endures forever”, and He says: Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat:  “His faithful love endures forever” (Psalm 118:3).

And then God gets less specific and more all-encompassing about who else should repeat “His faithful love endures forever”, and He says: Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever” (Psalm 118:4).

Let all who fear the Lord repeat it!

That's us, Y'all!  All (who fear the Lord) means all...and "all"--is us!

And so, let's enter-in and lock-in to what the Lord is leading us to say and do today.

Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”  ~Psalm 118:4

So, let's say it now, and multiple times (repeating) it today, and tomorrow and in our lives: “His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 118:4).

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever.

(2) Let all Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”

(3) Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat:  “His faithful love endures forever.”

(4) Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”

(5) In my distress I prayed to the Lordand the Lord answered me and set me free.  (6) The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.  What can mere people do to me?  (7) Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me.  I will look in triumph at those who hate me.

(8) It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.  (9) It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes...

(14) The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.  (15) Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly.  The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!

(16) The strong right arm of the Lord is raised in triumph.  The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!

(17) I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the Lord has done.  ~Psalm 118:1-9, 14-17

Let's live today and tell what the Lord has done.

Look back over Verses 5-16 and may we be reminded of the truth that they hold in our lives.  In our faith.

And the truth of Who God is and what He has done should cause us to repeat the truth of His Word: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever. (Psalm 118:1).

May we read, pray, say, sing and repeat this today.

And...if due to our circumstances we cannot "get" there (singing songs of joy and victory and repeating “His faithful love endures forever”)...then I pray that we can

That I can.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever.  ~Psalm 118:1

In the Bible, God repeats things that are big things to Him.  A quadruple-mention must mean high value and meaning.

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!  His faithful love endures forever.

(2) Let all Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”

(3) Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat:  “His faithful love endures forever.”

(4) Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.”   ~Psalm 118:1-4

We can say it today: “His faithful love endures forever.”

We can repeat it today:  “His faithful love endures forever.”

And in the midst of whatever (high or low) we are encountering today, we can trust the Lord today: “His faithful love endures forever.”

Blessings,

Sarah
