Have you ever had a pomelo (or pummelo)?

How about a shaddock?

Trick question!  Because pomelos and shaddocks are actually the same thing...the same fruit.  

And what a fruit they are!  A huge fruit.  A big, grapefruit-looking fruit, pomelos grow big and they go big.  When it comes to fruits in the citrus family, there is no bigger.


We tried a pomelo the other day.  
I saw them at the grocery store, and their size shocked and enticed me!  I decided to try one mostly because they are so big.

Go big (for God) today.

Really--go for it.  Go big.  Go all in, and if the Lord has laid something/someone/some idea on our heart---Go big in making it happen today, or at least in beginning to make it happen. 

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (20) and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  ~Matthew 28:19-20

Don't worry about what others might say.  Pay no mind to the probability or practicality of it.  If (and only if), it is an idea/prayer/person that God has put on our hearts, then let's stop putting it off, and let's go big for God today. 

For with God nothing will be impossible.  ~Luke 1:37

If God is for it, then it matters not who is against it.  Let's GO today!

If God is for us, who can be against us?  ~Romans 8:31

Go big for God today.  
Let's put our shoulder into it (His will). 
Let's go hard or go home for our Heavenly Father...(and it's not time to go home yet).   
Let's use all our might (for His mighty plans).  

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (24) since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.  ~Colossians 3:23-24 

We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  Our God is an awesome God and He is worthy of all of our glory and honor and praise.

“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power..."  ~Revelation 4:11

 Go big for Him today, however He shows us to.  

Let's shed any shreds of spiritual insecurity and may our faith in our Lord shock and entice others today.  May we grow big and go big...and may God get all the glory.   

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.  ~Matthew 5:16  

Be a pomelo among people today.  May we stand out and stand up for the truth of our Savior and our God today.  

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 

(13) Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 

(14) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, (15) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 

(17) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  ~Ephesians 6:11-17

Go big for God today.  
Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone decides to "try God" mostly because our faith in Him is so big that it entices them?

It’s never too late to turn to the Lord.   And--it’s never too late to turn back to the Lord.   Do we GET IT?   King Hezekiah GOT IT.   The people in his area (Israel) had not been following the Lord, and they had fallen away from the (God-ordained) traditions that the Lord had designed to connect His people with Himself,  like going to church (Temple), and like celebrating the festival of Passover.  So they sent a proclamation throughout all Israel...inviting everyone to come to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover of the  Lord , the God of Israel. Ever been around boys (of any age)?  They don't concern themselves with talking about   other  boys...they are not (usually) comparative that way, and would prefer to be competitive instead.  They are often contented with jokes and sounds, rather than defaming other guys or discussing their shortfalls. But...ever been around women ( of any age )?  For some sinful reason, our conversations often seem to p ick-a-little, talk-a-little, pick some more and talk, talk, talk about other women.  We  simmer into a boil as we digress and regress into unbecoming chatter about   other  women.   It's a terrible habit and yet girls in elementary school don't need to be taught how and even elderly church biddies can't quite fully withdraw.  We all still fall to condemning others  from time to time.  We have this sinful draw to make ourselves feel good by chirping back and forth and making someone   else   feel bad. The earth is the   Lord ’s, and everything in it.   The world and all its people belong to him.   (2)  For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas  and built it on the ocean depths.   ~Psalm 24:1-2 We belong to Him, but also…our world belongs to Him: and  everything in it .   Everything.   Every tree and flower, every person, every pelican, everything. How are we responding to that glorious Truth today?   Can we praise Him today?  Can we acknowledge and absorb (and respond!) to the awesome Truth that we belong to Him :  the Creator of all things, and our Creator?   He laid the earth’s foundation ...and (even)  the earth  knows that it belongs to him ...
