I got a big, juicy hug in the mail yesterday.
Someone (my dad!) sent me sunshine.
Love came in a box: sealed with a smile, and dripping with delight.
Navel oranges and ruby red grapefruits might not sound like a typical love-letter to you, but they sure are to me.
Is it possible to symbolically declare our love from over
twelve-hundred miles away?
Absolutely(!), I decided as citrus juice ran down to my elbows.
Is it possible to send-love, share-love, and even manifest-love
through kind actions? You bet your bottom
orange it is!
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes
from God. Everyone who loves has been
born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is love. ~I John 4:7-8
Something moves us to do good things. Something prompts us to propel light
instead of darkness.
The impetus is God in us, and it is love and the love
of God that moves us to love others.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be
free. But do not use your freedom to
indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another in love. ~Galatians 5:13
I got served in love yesterday, and it made my
day. (Thanks, Dad.)

This world and it’s people are running amuck. Most days there is more to shake our finger and our head at, than there is to stand up and cheer about. But if we have the light of Christ in us, then we have been put here to shine it!
- Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16
- Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. ~Romans 12:21
I was (so!) blessed to receive surprise love-in-the-form-of-citrus
yesterday. Oranges and grapefruits sent
from Florida treated my palate, but even more satisfying: the love they represented treated my spirit and soul. To know love and to receive it is a blessing like no other.
Our Heavenly Father knows love: He created love, and He created us for love. Love is our Lord's foundation, His core, and His featured building block for everything.
- And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. ~Colossians 3:14
- And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~I Corinthians 13:13
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. (5) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. ~Deuteronomy 5:4-5

How can we show someone God's love today? And...it's okay to get creative!
It is possible to send-love, share-love, and even manifest-love through kind actions.
I got an oranges-and-grapefruit juicy hug in the mail yesterday. I felt the love in those boxes of citrus, and it makes me want to love others.
Who can we love today, and how?
It could be family, it could be a friend. It could be someone that we know is hurting or struggling..it might be a total stranger. Let the Lord lead, and send someone some sunshine today.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. ~Proverbs 17:17
