Has God put something on our hearts and in our hearts?

Then He will do it.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (24) The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.  ~I Thessalonians 5:23-24

Does it (whatever our "it" is today) seem too big for us to handle?

Remember that the battle is the Lord's, not ours.  (But we will have to make the decision to let Him lead and fight it.)

And the victory is the Lord's also...will we give Him the authority and reins to gain it?

"It" (...all of our "it's" in this life), are too big for us to handle on our own.  But when God handles our feats, then...(often against all odds), we have a testimony, Friends.  When we "let God", then we have our latest account of how God has proven Himself (again) in our lives.

All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”  ~I Samuel 17:47

Are we frozen today by the intimidation and pressure and threat that we are not doing enough to bring success in our endeavors and our lives?

God has advice for us today: Be still.

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
(8) Come and see what the Lord has done...
(9) He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
(10) He says, “Be still, and know that I am GodI will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
(11) The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.  ~Psalm 46:7-11

Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids.
And silly us, the battle that we face today is the Lord's, and no one will win it but Him.
Let Him.

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”  ~Exodus 14:14

Be still about the situation at hand that fills our mind.

Be still with the fretting and worrying and obsessing.

Be still in God's presence and in His Word, and in seeking His discernment about it.

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength...  ~Isaiah 30:15

But...what if this...and what if that...

But, but, but...we protest, as we seek to retain control over our battles, and our situations, and our lives...

We conjure up every "what-if" obstacle and hurdle.  We believe that we can pre-empt the problems.

But our anxiety and worry and planning and control are the opposite of what will bring success to our situations today.

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. (39) She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.

(40) But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

(41) “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, (42) but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”  ~Luke 10:38-42

Brothers and Sisters in Christ: in light of the battle/situation that lies before us today and in seeking victory over it, we must sit at the Lord's feet listening to what He says today.

 ~~~
Lord, the worry and what-if of _____ burden us today.  Help us, Father.  Help us to let go and to lose (our) control, and to give it all over to You.
If You have birthed and propelled an opportunity or assignment in our lives, will You not continue and complete it?
You (and You alone) have done this.
Why do we fret?
Let me trust You today, Lord.  Amen.
~~~

Our God has an excellent track record, and we can trust Him.
Will we today?

“Remember what happened in the past.  Think about what took place long ago.
I am God. There is no other God.  I am God. There is no one like me.
(10) Before something even happens, I announce how it will end.  In fact, from times long ago I announced what was still to come.
I say, ‘My plan will succeed. I will do anything I want to do.’...
(11) ...I will bring about what I have said.  I will do what I have planned.  ~Isaiah 46:8-11

Has God put something on our hearts and in our hearts?

Then He will do it.
