In high school and college, I was on the track and field team, and one of the events that I enjoyed participating in was the 100 meter hurdles.
You start a race crouched down with your feet in "blocks", and then when the gun fires, you explode out to attack ten hurdles spaced-out along the straight-away.
In order to become better at the initial burst that begins a race, and to enhance stamina throughout the contest, we would regularly train by wearing a harness with elastic leads attached to it. The athlete would attempt to (quickly) start, and then run robustly as far as they could...all the while having elastic ropes restraining them from moving or advancing freely.
We would do a few restrained starts, and then the harness would be released and we would do some (unfettered) starts from the blocks.
Oh, the freedom and power when we had been freed from the ropes and we could burst into motion without restriction! I remember feeling like we were in fast-forward motion on the first (freed) attempts each practice.
It was work to run with the elastic ropes on, but this exercise built up our resistance training, our stamina, and hopefully our competition times.

Are we held down and held back by the accusations of satan over our mind, and our faith, and our life today?
It is in the devil's nature to be incessant in tearing us down by accusing us of being inexperienced, unworthy, and unfit to serve our Lord.
None of it is true or truth, but we can fall prey to the devil's consistent (false) messaging, and we can be beat-into-spiritual-submission, and we can begin to believe his bogus accusations.
If we have become harnessed with heaviness, or if we have been held-back with low spiritual self-esteem---let's allow the Lord to free us from the devil's restraints today.
The Book of Zechariah speaks truth into the deceit that the devil seeks to restrict us with.
Hear the word of the Lord as He speaks through Zechariah about Joshua, and know/receive/believe(!) that the Lord speaks this freeing (explosive! truth into us today.
Then the angel showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord.The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel’s right hand, making accusations against Joshua. (2) And the Lord said to Satan, “I, the Lord, reject your accusations, Satan. ~Zechariah 3:1-2
Yes, the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you. This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire.”
(3) Joshua’s clothing was filthy as he stood there before the angel. (4) So the angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Joshua he said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”
(5) Then I said, “They should also place a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean priestly turban on his head and dressed him in new clothes while the angel of the Lord stood by. ~Zechariah 3:2-5
The Bible speaks truth right into the fetters of satan's lies today. Let's be freed from any and all false-holds.
The Lord defended Joshua in opposition to the devil's accusations, and God asserted that He had removed Joshua's iniquity and clothed him with rich robes.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the Lord defends us today against satan's accusations. They are not true about us!
All praise and honor to our God, our Redeemer and Defender!
And the next steps are up to us. ...We must allow-and-trust the Lord in removing the restrictive harness of satan's accusations against us, and we must burst-forth in walking in the Lord's ways, and keeping His commands.
(6) Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, (7) “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My command, then you shall also judge My house, and likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk among these who stand here.
(8) “Listen to me, O Joshua the high priest, and all you other priests. You are symbols of things to come. Soon I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. ~Zechariah 3:6-8
God is doing good things...and we are a part of His explosive efforts, if we will break-free of the devil's fetters, and trust & follow God!
The Lord is telling us and all of those who are serving Him (his priests) to keep walking in His ways, and to keep keeping His commands.
If we can shake-free and break-free of satan's accusations, God will give us charge of His courts and places to walk among other active-Believers.
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My command, then you shall also judge My house, and likewise have charge of My courts; I will give you places to walk among these who stand here.
(8) “Listen to me, O Joshua the high priest, and all you other priests. You are symbols of things to come. Soon I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. ~Zechariah 3:7-8
I am in if you are in...and the Lord is already waiting upon our active-acceptance today.
Let's drop the deceiver's harness.
Let's become unfettered and instead be free.
Let's drop the untrue restraints of the Accuser, and let's be harnessed by the power of God's Truth alone.
Oh, the freedom and power when we have been freed from satan's lying-ropes.
Let's burst-out in our faith-race for our God today. He has equipped us to win, and we are able to advance freely if we will only have faith in Him and His truthful Word over us.
