God loves us with the heart of a good and holy father who knows what is best for us, and who wants what is best for us.
Sometimes the Lord comforts us when we are tired and worn out. The Bible can speak words of comfort and affirmation and hope for us:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." ~Matthew 11:28
Our God is our Heavenly Father, and just as our earthly father may have enforced our completion of chores, strengthened our work-ethic, or disciplined us in academics (studying)... Our Heavenly Father loves us with the heart of a good and Holy Father who knows what is best for us, and who seeks to instill what's best for us.
And so sometimes the Lord does not comfort us in our times-of-tired, or when we are weary. Our Heavenly Father sometimes equips us to press on, or chides us to carry on, persevere, and even to "buck up".
God also has been known to use His Word (the Bible) to give us Godly examples to follow, to model...and to get us going in being/doing/living for Him today.
Sometimes God "says" (through His Word) to get out of bed and get back on the horse.
Sometimes He "says" (through His Word) to leave the pity party and start living life.
I guess today's that day.

Are we feeling like we've done enough? Had enough? Worked too hard? Given our all?
Instead of coddling us, God is about to (Scripturally) tell us to pull ourselves up from our bootstraps and keep marching.
...It's not to shame us, or defame us, but All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (17) so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
And so, even if we are worn out today, the Lord is lighting a fire in our heart today. What can be done for Him and His glory today? A lot.
Do we need examples? God's got 'em.
God shows us the Proverbs 31 woman out of his great love (and possibly His positive-discipline of us) today.
(10) A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
(11) Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
(12) She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
(13) She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
(14) She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
(15) She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.
(16) She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
(17) She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
(18) She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
(19) In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
(20) She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
(21) When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
(22) She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
(23) Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
(24) She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
(25) She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
(26) She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
(27) She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
(28) Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her: (29) “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
(30) Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
(31) Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. ~Proverbs 31:10-31
If we think we're busy from dawn-to-dusk in the roles that God has given us, He lets us look at someone (the Proverbs 31 woman) who is really active in their callings...and thriving in them.
She is firing on all-cylinders for her Savior...let's move towards doing the same today.
The Proverbs 31 woman sounds like an impossible standard to keep...and she is. But if we don't aim high, we will not move forward (or get out of our current rut).
Consider her verses, and buy into them.
Don't give up today, let's dig deeper and show up today!
